Script outline:
We are surrounded. But we hardly ever see.
This performance explores the multiple silences that exist around mental health in India. It is told
through the story of a young girl who is navigating difficult relationships with her mother, elder sister,
different members of the neighbourhood, and friends and strangers who empathise and alienate in
equal measure. The performance attempts to present a world in which no matter how hard you try,
the voices of the troubled cannot be silenced.
